Bid Loads

The Prairie Lamb Co-Op works within our membership to gather bookings of sheep and lambs to book full liner loads.  We then send bid sheets out to several bidders within our network across Western Canada & Ontario.  The successful bidder is responsible for transporting the lambs from our collection point after they are paid for. 

The producers must be a member with our Co-Op prior to booking their animals.  There is a reserve bid set on all loads, which will be told to you at time of booking.  The Co-Op takes care of all insurance and bonding once the animals are loaded on the truck. 

We call for lambs of various classes. We open bidding to our bidders on a Tuesday at noon and close bidding on a Wednesday at noon.  All lambs will be picked up from the collection point within 5 days of bidding closing.  Payment will be made to the Producer within 5 days of pick up.   

FEES:

The fees for this service are a weighing fee of $0.50/lamb at the collection point and $4.50/lamb for admin and insurance fees ($5.00/lamb total).
